Care & Washing

Keep it sounding its best.

Washing instructions depend on which model you have. Choose yours below.

Not sure which you have? The Pro has a built-in grounding layer and ships with a grounding connection. If yours doesn't, you have the Standard.

SoundBlanket Pro

Pro care.

Only the outer duvet cover is washable. Gentle, cold-water care protects the grounding threads and keeps it lasting.

The full step-by-step, from removing the cover to putting it all back together.
1
Remove the Cover
Disconnect the cable from the amplifier, then undo the corner ties. Feed the cable through the opening and turn the duvet cover inside out. The duvet cover is now ready to be machine washed.
If the comforter also needs washing, turn it inside out and continue undoing the remaining corner ties to separate it from the internal components.
2
Wash with Low Agitation
Cold water is recommended. Use a mild liquid detergent and select the Hand Wash or Delicate cycle with low agitation.
For small stains, spot clean the affected area before washing.
Do not use fabric softeners or bleach.
3
Hang to Dry & Reassemble
Hang the cover to air dry. Do not use a dryer or apply heat of any kind, as heat may damage the materials.
Once fully dry, reassemble the cover and reconnect the components.
Do
  • Wash the duvet cover only
  • Cold water, Hand Wash or Delicate cycle
  • Hang to air dry
  • Spot clean stains before washing
Don't
  • Never wash the electronics or internal components
  • No fabric softeners or bleach
  • No dryer or heat of any kind
  • No dry cleaning or ironing
!
WarningInternal electronic components are not water resistant. Do not expose the amplifier, wiring, or internal components to water, moisture, or any liquids. Remove all internal components before washing the blanket cover. Never wash or submerge electronic components.
